Tondanur

Tondanur, historically known as Yadavagiri, is a serene and historically significant village located approximately 30 kilometers from the spiritual town of Melkote in Karnataka. The place earned its profound sanctity when the great philosopher-saint Sri Ramanujacharya resided here during his exile from the Chola kingdom. Legend narrates that the saint converted the local Hoysala ruler, Bittideva, to Vaishnavism, who subsequently became known as Vishnuvardhana.
