Overview of Godachinamalki Water Falls
Godachinamalki Falls is a splendid cascading waterfall situated in a lush green valley in the Belgaum district of Karnataka, near the village of Godachinamalki. Located about 15 km from Gokak town and 40 km from Belgaum town, the waterfall stands at a height of about 50 feet.
River and Formation
The incredibly beautiful waterfall is formed by the river Markhandeya and is alternatively known as Markandeya Falls. Its unique charm lies in its cascading nature—the water descends through several steps before taking its final plunge into the valley, creating breathtaking mist and panoramic views.

It is a popular picnic spot, perfect for a day out with friends and family. Visitors can approach the falls via vehicles up to a point about 1 km away followed by a short walk, or take an adventurous 2 km trek through an irregular forest route starting from Godachinamalki village.

The ideal time to visit is from June to September during the monsoon season, when increased water volume and vibrant surrounding greenery significantly enhance the scenic beauty.
