Jog Falls, located in Karnataka, is the highest un-tiered waterfall in India, dropping from a magnificent height of 292 metres (960 feet). Formed by the Sharavathi River, the water cascades down in four distinct branches known as Raja, Roarer, Rocket, and Rani. It is also the site of the Mahatma Gandhi Hydro-Electric Project, a major source of electricity for the state.
