Kudumari Falls, also known as Chaktikal Falls or Belligunndi Falls, is a breathtaking natural waterfall situated in the deep forests of the Western Ghats near Chaktikal village in Kundapura taluk of Udupi district, Karnataka. Located about 93 km from Udupi town and 43 km from Murudeshwar, it stands at a magnificent height of about 300 feet.
The destination is a haven for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Surrounded by overwhelming greenery, the waterfall offers a picturesque view where one can spot the coastline of the Arabian Sea on one side and the verdant mountains of the Western Ghats on the other. The waterfall appears like a thin silver line dancing down the green mountains.
Trekking Experience
Reaching Kudumari Falls requires an adventurous trek of about 4 km through dense forests from Chaktikal village, taking over two hours one way. The trek involves jumping over rocks of various sizes. An alternate route along the stream from the coastal side is accessible only during post-monsoon months when the water level recedes.

Best Time to Visit: Post-monsoon months from November to January. It is advised to avoid visiting during heavy monsoons due to slippery rocks and leeches in the forest area.
