Kukke Subramanya

Located in Sullia Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, Kukke Subramanya is an ancient and prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Subramanya, who is worshipped here as the lord of all serpents (Kartikeya in the form of a cobra). Situated on the picturesque banks of the Kumaradhara River and backed by the lush Kumaradri hills, the temple attracts thousands of pilgrims every year who visit to perform serpent-related rituals such as Ashlesha Bali and Sarpa Samskara to ward off 'Sarpa Dosha'.
