Lakshmeshwar is an ancient town located approximately 28 kms away, tracing its history back to the 16th century when it was ruled by Lakshmana Arasa. The town is a remarkable confluence of architectural heritage and spiritual significance, housing prominent religious sites such as the ancient Someshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the unique Jumma Masjid, which features marvelous Hoysala style architecture along with the tomb of saint Dood Peran.
