Manvi is a historic town and taluk located in the Raichur district of Karnataka, India (Pincode: 584123), situated approximately 72 kms from Raichur. It holds immense spiritual and cultural significance in Karnataka as a prominent center of the Haridasa movement.

History & Significance

Manvi is historically renowned for being the abode and spiritual center of several revered Haridasas of Karnataka. Most notably, the illustrious saint and poet Jagannatha Dasa lived and composed many of his literary works here. His sacred Brindavan (tomb shrine) is located in Manvi, drawing numerous devotees and pilgrims annually.
