Nuggehalli is a historically significant town located in the Hassan district of Karnataka, India (Pincode: 573131), situated about 35 km from Hassan. History & Architecture
Constructed during the reign of the Hoysala Empire (around the 13th century), the temples at Nuggehalli exhibit soapstone sculptures characteristic of the Hoysala style. The Lakshmi Narasimha temple is a trikutachala (three-shrined) temple housing Lord Narasimha, Keshava, and Venugopala. The Someshwara temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is equally stunning with its open pillared hall and detailed friezes depicting epics and mythical beasts.
