Overview of Sathodi Falls
Sathodi Falls is a picturesque waterfall located near Balagar in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka (PIN 581337). Situated about 32 km from Yellapur and close to Sirsi, the waterfall is formed by several unnamed streams that join together in the Kallaramane Ghat and cascade down from a height of 15 meters. Because of its shape and beauty, it is popularly known as the 'Mini Niagara' of Karnataka.
Geography & Environment
The falls are nestled deep within the lush greenery of the Ganeshgudi forest range. After plunging into a pool at the base, the water flows further to join the backwaters of the Kodasalli dam, which is built across the Kali River. The dense surrounding forests and remote setting make it a paradise for nature lovers and trekkers.

Reaching Sathodi Falls involves a short trek through dense forest trails from the nearest parking or drop-off point. The best time to visit is immediately after the monsoon season (from November to March) when the water flow is at its peak and the surrounding foliage is vibrant green.
