Vanivilas Sagar, also known as Mari Kanive, is a magnificent and historic reservoir located near Vani Vilasapura Dam in Karnataka (PIN 577533). Situated about 32 kms from Hiriyur, it is the oldest dam in the state, constructed across the Vedavati River by the Mysore Maharajahs before India's independence.
