Sonda

Sonda, historically known as Swadi, is a serene and profoundly spiritual hamlet nestled in the lush Western Ghats of Karnataka, approximately 18 kilometers from the town of Sirsi. Historically significant as the capital of the Sonda Nayakas, who served as feudatories to the Vijayanagara Empire, the town is protected by the natural moat formed by the River Shamala.
