The three-hour ride is a breathtaking experience with innumerable twists and turns, scary steep cliffs on the left and spectacular views ofthe sunset. The small village Mashobra, about 12 km north of Shimla has a colonial church and pleasant hiking trails set among deodar trees. A famous golf course is situated at Naldehra, about 15 km north of Mashobra. Ponies can be hired fortreks along the ridge.
